Wow, Call of Duty 5 is already playable? It's supposedly being created by Treyarch on the same engine that CoD4 was made on. Also, the setting would be on the Pacific in WWII.
The game will come out on the PS3, 360, DS, PC, and PS2 and Wii. What an immense number wouldn't you say? With that though, I don't think we can expect that much from the PS2 and Wii versions as with the PS3, 360 and PC versions.
Sony Computer Entertainment, following the success of its PSP ports, such as Silent Hill Origins and Ratchet and Clank Size Matters are rumored to port more PSP exclusive titles onto the Playstation 2.
One includes Daxter which will be coming July while Wipeout Pulse will be coming in September.
A PlayStation 3 version of 2K Boston and 2K Australia's story-driven underwater shooter BioShock will arrive this September, assuming rumors printed within the June issue of EGM are true.
According to the magazine and proven NeoGAF proxy SuperSonic 1305, the PlayStation 3 port will pack improved visuals over the previous PC and Xbox 360 editions along with the previously-released free downloadable content.
When reached for comment today, 2K Games said it had "no comment" on the matter. A PlayStation 3 iteration of BioShock was denied by creator Ken Levine last August, though his phrasing only indicated the studio was not pursuing a PS3 version at that time.
EGM's writeup further states that the upcoming BioShock 2 will be unveiled around September as well. No platforms have been announced for the 2K Marin-developed sequel, though PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions are expected.
Third Person Call of Duty Canned: Activision Underground was NOT closed down due to a "exclusivity deal" that Infinity Ward has signed with Activision. But rather they can attest that they were working on a third person action-adventure Call of Duty game based on special ops forces and feature "different kinds of gameplay." However, the game well...sucked.
Kotaku explains the source best, "Our source says that its mechanics "were a mess", the story was "terrible" and that "it took every cliché you hated from every other squad-based military shooter and stuffed it into COD". Ouch. Apparently the game was cancelled - and the studio closed down - soon after it was first shown to Infinity Ward & Activision, who "had a fit" at what they'd seen. For what it's worth, fingers are being pointed at the game's creative director, who "hired a team of utter beginners and tossed the project to them without any metrics or direction"."
Just wow...
Activison Denies Infinity Ward Exclusivity: Previously we talked about a rumor, that came from Activision Underground, that Infinity Ward had signed an exclusivity deal to handle the future Call of Duty franchise iterations after Treyarch's Call of Duty 5. Activison Underground, whom we mentioned before, was shut down by Activision itself after they saw the abysmal attempt at making a third-person action-adventure Call of Duty game. However, we have word from our web blog sources that the exclusivity deal is not true.
Kotaku sez: "A spokesperson for the publisher told Eurogamer it was a total fabrication, and that Treyarch and Infinity Ward would still alternately create installments in the shooter series."
The internets are swarming with pirates and none other than a group called iCON has already ripped the PAL version of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360 and are promising the NTSC version within the next 48 hours. Early clips of actual gameplay footage were put on sites such as YouTube but were quickly taken down. Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto IV is set to arrive on April 29th for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. As with our own YouTube channel, expect to see a playthrough done by Zack when the game officially releases on that Tuesday.
Addressing rumors that Call of Duty creator Infinity Ward will soon be the sole developer of the hit franchise, publisher and studio owner Activision has labeled the claims as "erroneous."
The reports first emerged from Next-Gen, which cited an ex-employee from Activision's soon-to-be-closed Foster City studio.
So there's this new issue of monthly manga CoroCoro Comic, and they have this timeline. This Pokemon Timeline. It showcases the two versions that come out first and then the third game which has all the Pokemon in them.
Following this pattern, the next game should be out by summer for Japan for the annual Pokemon Anime and should be the third installment after Diamond/Pearl.
Could it be Opal? There's speculation that it will be Pokemon Opal because of Giratina, and how Giratina will be the one showcased in the new game instead of Darkrai. Sounds interesting, but Pokemon Opal? I think I'd rather have Darkrai be showcased.
Well, with this, it sparks up a question, is this real? Supposedly, but these are just rendered pictures of them. I guess it's being mass manufactured right now and will release on June 12th, like the game MGS4 and will be $59.99.
But, do you see how the MGS4 Headset looks like a 360 Headset a bit? He likes those headsets, and he also added a nice touch, what does this picture show here?
"According to Bloomberg Japan, Enterbrain (Famitsu's parent company) honcho Hirokazu Hamamura has said that Nintendo might unveil a new DS model at E3 2008."
No comment from Nintendo. So expect this as a yes. After all, the GameBoy Color, the GameBoy Advance, the GameBoy Advance SP, the Brighter GameBoyAdvance SP, the GameBoy Micro - have I made my point yet?
Could this rumor be true? Could LittleBigPlanet for the PSP be in the works?
Supposedly it's being worked on by the Sony Studios in Liverpool. I could see the PSP version allow you to play levels, or even continue to edit levels, but online, that's a bit if-fy, unless it was released on 2 UMD's, one for online and another for offline. That would be kind of cool, hopefully no on would complain. [laughs]
The full list of achievements for the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV may have been leaked. Our two sources state that there are over 50 achievements for this game which include various tasks besides the progression of the game.
Read more contains the full list as well as pictures taken from Gamespot Forums.
According to the latest Sony Computer Entertainment UK release schedule PlayStation 3 gamers will have plenty to keep them occupied this autumn, with three massive titles hitting stores.

The titles are likely to go up against some heavy hitters from Microsoft, including Gears of War 2, Fable 2 and Banjo.
Jeux-France folks are touting that they have an exclusive video of the upcoming Motorstorm 2 game, coming to the Playstation 3 console this Fall. What the video entails, we don't know. It could be pre-rendered footage (i.e. Motorstorm debut at E3 2005 *cough*) or entirely real-time footage that is bound to have gamers awaiting in excitement for this sequel.
"A source close to Atari, speaking under conditions of strict anonymity, has told us that an announcement from the publisher’s top brass is expected on Monday morning. Word has also reached us that new Atari boss David Gardner and Phil “you’re not SCEEing any more” Harrison are are on the same flight to New York on Monday."
Via PS3 Informer, a secret agent (literally) managed to score the 8 Days info that we previously had on our site but also a now leaked screenshot of what looks to be a blurred out image of an arachnid-type colossi. Needless to say if I were to play Shadow of the Colossus 2 and see that, I'd shit my pants.
